At ChurchJunction.com, we wholeheartedly embrace the following statement of faith, grounded in the authoritative and infallible Word of God, the Holy Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) – “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”
Our beliefs serve as the foundation of our community and guide us in our worship, fellowship, and service to God and one another. (Hebrews 10:25) – “Not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
The Holy Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity possesses the fullness of divine attributes and works in perfect unity. (Matthew 28:19) – “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
The Deity of Jesus Christ
We believe in the full deity and humanity of Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, fully God, and fully man. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead on the third day, securing our salvation. (Colossians 2:9) – “For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form.”
The Authority of Scripture
We affirm that the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. It serves as the ultimate authority for faith and practice and is sufficient for guiding every aspect of our lives. (Psalm 119:105) – “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
The Work of the Holy Spirit
We acknowledge the Holy Spirit’s role in regeneration, sanctification, and empowering believers for effective Christian living and ministry. The Spirit convicts us of sin, leads us into truth, and empowers us to bear spiritual fruit. (John 16:8) – “And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.”
The Church
We affirm that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers regardless of denominational affiliation or background. The Church exists to worship God, fellowship with one another, proclaim the Gospel, and demonstrate Christ’s love to the world. (1 Corinthians 12:27) – “Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it.”
Water Baptism and Communion
We believe in the ordinances of water baptism and the Lord’s Supper (communion). Baptism symbolizes the believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, while communion commemorates Christ’s sacrificial death and anticipates His return. (Matthew 28:19) – “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
The Second Coming of Christ
We eagerly await the glorious return of Jesus Christ, when He will establish His Kingdom, judge the living and the dead, and reign eternally. We affirm the bodily resurrection of all believers to eternal life and the eternal punishment of the unrepentant. (Revelation 22:20) – “He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.”
The Great Commission
We are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission, as given by Jesus Christ, to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations. We seek to share the Gospel, make disciples, and bring people to faith in Christ through word and deed. (Matthew 28:19-20) – “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you.”
Christian Living
As followers of Christ, we strive to live holy and righteous lives, reflecting the character of Jesus in our thoughts, words, and actions. We seek to love God with all our hearts and love our neighbors as ourselves, showing compassion and care for those in need. (1 Peter 1:15-16) – “But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy.'”
